BACKSTAGE WEBPAGES OVERVIEW
A website is nothing more but nothing less than a collection of web pages that are linked together by a single menu that allows the user to navigate easily to each one. Their content can be supplied either from a single web server or else, as is becoming more common, from a number of web servers through out the world.
2434.com build web pages (BackStage WebPages) that you can add to your existing website or else can be used to form an entire website by themselves. BackStage WebPages fall into two categories:
- Display BackStage data and are intended to be viewed by staff and orchestra. These are password-protected for users of BackStage Professional and BackStage Enterprise.
- Intended to be viewed by the general public.
The address of an orchestras BackStage WebPages is http://<YourOrchestraName>.2434.com. Orchestras that already have websites may chose to link directly to these pages from their existing site by either adding a menu item for public BackStage WebPages or else a login button for staff and orchestra BackStage WebPages. No additional coding is necessary apart from placing a link. (NB Some orchestras may alternatively choose to completely incorporate BackStage WebPages into their sites web pages as IFrames to make them seamlessly appear as part of their own site.)
All versions of BackStage already include a number of BackStage WebPages for displaying data or for altering account details. These are all included within the price of BackStage. 2434.com will be continuously developing more and more BackStage WebPages that orchestras can chose to add. These will all carry an increased monthly charge but are entirely optional.
Orchestras wishing to host their entire website with us can point their domain name at our web servers. Please contact support@2434.com for details.
