BACKSTAGE MOBILE

One of the defining features of BackStage is its ability to work offline when there is no internet connection available. This has allowed us to develop a slightly cut-down version of BackStage, BackStage Mobile, that runs key aspects of BackStage from a Windows mobile phone or PDA under Windows Mobile 5 operating system or later. No internet data tariff is necessary since all data is synchronised through the USB docking cradle. This allows an orchestral manager to enter data into BackStage from any location whether on a coach or concert-platform using hardware that is easy to carry and switches on instantly and then upload it into BackStage when next in the office by simply plugging the mobile device into it's USB cradle and selecting Upload from the Mobile Menu.
BackStage Mobile allows the user to view all PROJECT data (Summary & To-Do lists) and alter attendance and chair positions and book players for all PROJECTS.
Windows mobile phones are available from virtually all of the major mobile suppliers and can be free on a standard contract. See examples...
Windows Mobile Operating Systems Explained
There are essentially three different Windows Mobile Operating Systems and the latest version of the operating system is Windows Mobile 6. BackStage Mobile is only designed to work on Windows mobile operating systems that allow touch-screen entry of data. These are the versions highlighted in orange.
