BackStage Off-Line - what do you mean?

Imagine while travelling to a rehearsal that a player rings up to say they are ill and you can enter that information straight into BackStage and start looking for a replacement from the list of players in front of you.

Imagine being able to stand on stage and, from your hand-held computer screen, drag-and-drop the players that are actually there into the seats that they are sitting in.

Imagine that updating all other members of the management team to the change so that the orchestral accounts and pay-advice-notes are correct is no more difficult than plugging your mobile device into it's synchronisation cradle when next in the office.

Welcome to the world of BackStage off-line

BackStage was designed from the outset to be able to work while disconnected from a network or internet connection thus allowing orchestral staff to be able to both read and write to the BackStage database whether on a coach, in an underground bandroom or a remote concert hall and simply synchronise the data when next in the office by a few clicks of the mouse.

This makes BackStage ideally suited to the fast growing market of Ultra-Portable PCs (UPPCs) that run the full Windows OS as well as allowing BackStage to run a slightly cut-down version on Windows Mobile devices such as PDAs and SmartPhones.
